Emergency Laws to Protect the Disabled
For those that work for companies we have a link to the law and how you are to be treated. The disabled are usually the first to be tossed out the door and companies try to find excuses to do this. The law explicitly states that companies cannot toss out or layoff disabled people just because they are disabled. It is unfortunate that we have to know the law better than the able bodied, but that is how things operate. Those that have service dogs know that companies love to throw you out because you have a dog. I have had several companies, including McDonalds and Children’s Palace try to toss me out because of my service dog. But I know the law and always bring a copy of it to show those that are ignorant. If they don’t catch on, call the police and get their report. That report can be used as the basis for a lawsuit showing that your civil rights have been violated.
Here is the link to the law and how it can protect you and your job.
